Town Transfer Station
The Transfer Station is open every Saturday all year and Wednesdays from mid-May to mid-October. Trash may only be dropped off during Transfer Station hours.
As of May 22, 2017, there will only be access to the dump on Wednesdays and Saturdays when an attendant is present (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.). The dump will be gated at all other times. The Department of Environmental Protection has instructed the Town to no longer accept stumps. ONLY brush may be added to the burn pile. Mattresses, metal, and treated boards are not appropriate items for the burn pile.
Baileyville Transfer Station
Town residents may obtain a sticker for the Baileyville Transfer Station during office hours at no charge. The Baileyville Transfer Station will accept white goods, tires, construction materials, and other items the GLS Transfer Station can not accept. Hours of Operation: Tuesday 8 a.m.-12 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
